Peacebuilding

Social Cohesion

We bring together genocide survivors and perpetrators and assist them with opportunities for welfare in various peacebuilding, solidarity, cohesion, and collaborative holistic development initiatives so that all people regard themselves as Rwandans, not identified and separated by ethnicity.

   Youth Peace Education

The Youth Peace Education program is designed to reach out to students from high schools and their teachers.

At CARSA, we have been investing in equipping young people with knowledge and skills to: collaboratively resolve and transform conflicts; transcend prejudices, suspicions, and divisions; celebrate differences; challenge old mentalities; and work for a united and reconciled Rwandan society. Peace education is implemented through different initiatives such as training, genocide memorial visits, conferences, arts, and sports for peace. CARSA is empowering youth with the needed skills for them to become agents of peace in their schools, families, and the community at large.

Peace Conversation Circles

Peace Conversation Circles bring together young people, genocide survivors, perpetrators, and rescuers (Abarinzi b’Igihango) in a conversation where young generations grasp with both hands the real history of Genocide and get time to digest or quest for what they have been told before about our history and sustained to develop the fabric character to enable them to be a source, build relationships, and be agents of holistic transformation of the nation.
